XG Unveils “Xtraordinary Genes” Rebrand Ahead of First Full Album and World Tour

In a transformative move that marks a new era for the global hip-hop and R&B powerhouse, XG has officially redefined their identity, evolving from “Xtraordinary Girls” to “Xtraordinary Genes.” This symbolic rebranding coincides with Japan’s Coming-of-Age Day, a significant turning point as all seven members—JURIN, CHISA, HINATA, HARVEY, JURIA, MAYA, and COCONA—officially enter their twenties.

By shifting from a label that described who they were at their debut to one that emphasizes the innate creativity and cultural instinct at their foundation, the group aims to showcase a more authentic and deeply rooted version of their artistry. According to XGALX, the word “Genes” represents a core power that is unbound by conventional norms, signaling a return to their origins while pushing forward with renewed creative conviction.

This evolution serves as the perfect prelude to the release of their first full-length album, THE CORE – 核, which is set to drop on January 23, 2026. The album is a bold musical manifesto that further defines the “X-POP” genre, featuring tracks like “XIGNAL (The Intro)” and “4 SEASONS” that trace the group’s identity across various genres and eras.

To support this landmark release, XG has also unveiled the key visuals for their second major global circuit, “XG WORLD TOUR: THE CORE,” which kicks off at the K-Arena Yokohama on February 6, 2026. This tour follows the massive success of their 2024 world tour, which drew 400,000 attendees and culminated in a historic performance at the Tokyo Dome.

The rebrand to “Xtraordinary Genes” cements XG’s status as more than just a musical group, positioning them as cultural architects with a global mission. Having already shattered records as the first Japanese artists to hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs and delivering a high-acclaimed headlining set on the Sahara stage at Coachella 2025, the group is now focused on empowering a diverse worldwide audience. As they embark on their 2026 tour across Asia, North America, Europe, Australia, and Latin America, XG is ready to prove that their talent isn’t just a learned skill, but something woven into their very DNA.
