A Sunday night filled with sweet memories and fun fangirling experiences was brought by the performances of the sought-after Kpop artists including EXO’s Baekhyun, Jeon Somi, and B.I (Kim Hanbin) at the Kpop Overpass in Manila held at the Araneta Coliseum last June 11, 2023.

The Opening Act

VXON and G22, two powerful PPOP groups set the mood of the fans that night when they put the stage on fire with performances of their original songs including “Boomerang” (G22) and The Beast (VXON).

Electrifying energy from B.I.

It’s a legit night of jumping as B.I brought an overloaded set list with 18 songs including BTBT, One and only, Waterfall, TTM, Michaelangelo, Flame, Illussion, Lover, Got it Like That, Illa Illa, Endless Summer, Middle With You, Dare to Love, Die for Love, The Island of Misfit Toys, Wave, Keep Me Up and Cosmos. Attendees of the concert were totally caught off guard as B.I.

He stole everyone’s heart as he shows off his rapping skills and strong stage presence during his hour-long set. Sure thing, it’s impossible to easily move on after B.I. instantly wrecked our bias list. This is B.I.’s third visit to Manila after his successful “B.I. 1st Fanmeeting [B.I. Offline] in Manila” last August 2022 and B.I. 2023 Asia Tour L.O.L The Hidden Stage in Manila last March 2023.

Sweet and sassy Jeon Somi

Philippine fans are lucky to experience Jeon Somi’s first live performance abroad. Somi shared that this is her first time performing outside South Korea and her family is so excited that her mom, who is currently pregnant, even attended the show. 

A short but sweet stage on her popular songs XOXO, What You Waiting For, Anymore, Birthday, and Dumbdumb made it into the night’s show. During her ment, she shared that she enjoys one of the famous childhood candies “Potchi” and Pinoy’s all-time favorite fruit ‘mango.’

Baekhyun‘s powerful vocals

Taking over the stage as the main act for the night, EXO’s main vocalist “Baekhyun” performed UN Village, Betcha, Candy, Love Again, and Bambi. Despite his numerous visits in Manila with EXO, this is the first time that Baekhyun visited the Philippines solo and to make it extra special, he performed “Bambi” for the first time internationally.
