An Inside Look at the SEVENTEEN Global Pop-Up Store in Singapore

In the wake of SEVENTEEN’s massive [New_] World Tour stop at the Singapore National Stadium, the city was painted in Rose Quartz and Serenity. For many CARATs, the concert was only half the experience. The true “treasure hunt” took place at the SEVENTEEN Global Pop-Up Store at Bugis+, a fun space dedicated to exclusive merch and fan immersion. If you’re reliving the memories or planning for the next tour cycle, here is a deep dive into what made this pop-up a must-visit.

The Slot Securing Experience

Unlike standard retail shops, entry to this fan-haven required tactical planning. For the Singapore leg, booking was managed via KKTIX.

Securing a slot for the pop-up was a high-stakes sprint, as reservations typically opened a week in advance and disappeared within minutes. Even if you miss your preferred date, persistence is key; fans often cancel, and I managed to snag a last-minute booking on the very day of my flight.

Once at Bugis+, the check-in process was incredibly efficient, with staff verifying QR codes 15 minutes prior to entry to keep the line moving steadily. Inside, each session was strictly capped at 45 minutes for a group of about 60 people, ensuring the venue never felt like a crowded subway station and allowing everyone plenty of elbow room to browse the merch and enjoy the photo zones.

Inside the [New_] Playground: Photo Zones & Atmosphere

Inside the Level 2 of Bugis+ atrium, you were immediately greeted by a massive playground designed specifically for the fandom. The walls were lined with life-sized individual concept photos of the members. It served as a visual timeline of the [New_] era, making it impossible not to stop and snap a photo with your bias.

While the selling area was the main draw, the store was designed with “fan experience” in mind. There were pastel-themed backdrops and dedicated spots that mirrored the aesthetic of their latest music videos. The lighting was curated to be “Instagram-perfect,” ensuring every selfie looked like a professional photocard.

The curated artist-made gems and more

The pop-up space wasn’t just selling shirts and photocards, it was a curated collection of SEVENTEEN’s history. Fans could find the tour essentials like the the official Caratbong (Lightstick), trading card sets ($12), and image pickets ($19). The designs aren’t just from the [New_] era, there were also merchandise from the previous tours and fanmeets.

The group’s mascot, Bongbongee, was everywhere from plush keyrings ($24) and metal magnets ($27) to a literal Bongbongee mood lamp ($95). There were Artist-Made Collection items, and the most sought-after items were the pieces designed by the members themselves. Exclusive Singapore-only gifts are available with a minimum purchase.

Oppa is Life is a page I created in 2019 when I felt the need for another virtual space to pour out my feels, musings and fangirl experiences. It started as a Facebook fanpage but I later on decided to open other social media accounts because a single Facebook page just doesn’t feel enough.
