Felip Drops Genre-Bending Solo Album ‘7sins’; To Hold Solo Concert this July

Filipino artist Felip, known for his role in the popular boy band SB19, is pushing his artistry to new heights with his debut solo album, “7sins.” Released on July 5, 2024, the nine-track album is a journey through the complexities of human emotions and shortcomings.

While not explicitly religious, “7sins” draws inspiration from the concept of the seven deadly sins. Each track dives into raw and unsaid feelings, culminating in a song titled “ache” that focuses on redemption and self-acceptance. Felip’s genre-bending approach brings a unique flavor to each song, showcasing his versatility and creative depth.

Despite a busy schedule with SB19, Felip took a hands-on approach to the album’s creation. Over seven months, he worked tirelessly alongside producers Luke April (PLAYERTWO) and Isagani Palabyab to write, record, and mix the album. “7sins” also features collaborations with fellow artists, including Belgian-Filipino singer-songwriter Cyra Gwynth and hip-hop duo PLAYERTWO, adding further dimensions to the project.

7sins the Album Concert: An Immersive Experience

Fans can look forward to experiencing the album’s narrative firsthand at “7sins the Album Concert” on July 27, 2024, at the Space at OneAyala. General Admission tickets are still available at felip.helixpay.ph but are expected to sell quickly.

Felip: A Rising Multifaceted Talent

Felip, also known as Ken in SB19, has steadily built a solo career alongside his work with the band. He has previously released solo tracks like “Fake Faces” and “Kanako,” as well as the EP “COM.PLEX.” With “7sins,” he cements his position as a multifaceted talent and a force to be reckoned with in the Filipino music scene.
