Manila welcomed Thai stars Pond Naravit and Phuwin Tangsakyuen, the beloved leads of hit series like “Fish Upon the Sky,” “Never Let Me Go,” and the ongoing “We Are,” for their first-ever Manila fan meeting on July 5th at SM Skydome. The duo, affectionately known as PondPhuwin, kicked off the night to the roaring cheers of their dedicated Filipino fans, the Narawins, with a heartfelt performance of the “We Are” series OST.
Pond and Phuwin charmed the crowd with their Tagalog greetings, with Pond expressing his admiration for his fans’ beauty and Phuwin sharing his excitement to meet everyone. The pair even learned a few Tagalog phrases, including “Magandang Gabi” (Good Evening), and shared their experiences in the Philippines, including Phuwin’s eagerness to try the famous Jollibee Chicken.
We Are or We Are Not
In a fun game of “We Are or We Are Not,” PondPhuwin revealed some exciting insights and we are all excited about the TMIs. Both enthusiastically agreed to potentially star in a mafia-themed project together, with Pond expressing interest in a “bad boy” role and Phuwin open to any role, even a mermaid. They also confirmed their openness to working with other actors, with Pond mentioning his upcoming drama “Day and Night” alongside Dew and Gun, and Phuwin sharing details about his current project, “Summer Nights,” with Dunk and Parn.
Games, Performances, and Birthday Surprises
PondPhuwin engaged with fans through entertaining games, including a hilarious blindfold challenge and a paper dance game. The duo also delivered emotional solo performances: Pond with “Only One” and Phuwin with “Living For You,” both selections chosen as tributes to their cherished series “Never Let Me Go.”
The Narawins surprised Phuwin with a heartwarming video greeting and a birthday cake to celebrate his special day, followed by a Filipino-style birthday song led by Pond. Phuwin, touched by the gesture, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and wished for everyone’s health and happiness.

As the night drew to a close, both Pond and Phuwin extended their heartfelt thanks to the Filipino fans for their incredible support and promised to return soon. The fan meeting concluded with a captivating performance of “Truth In The Eyes,” another OST from “We Are,” leaving the Narawins with cherished memories and anticipation for PondPhuwin’s next visit.
