Rising girl group KISS OF LIFE, consisting of Julie, Natty, Belle and Haneul, successfully concluded their first stop of KISS ROAD ASIA TOUR leg in the Philippines with a full-house UP Theater filled with Filipino KISSYs in attendance last April 4. The group delivered a performance full of energy, excitement, and unforgettable moments that will go down in history as one of their most memorable shows to date.
This tour follows the successful conclusion of their America and Europe Tour, solidifying their global presence and ever-growing fanbase abroad. The atmosphere in the U.P. Theater was electric as KISS OF LIFE made a powerful entrance, walking down the center aisle of the venue with their latest title track, “Get Loud.”
The crowd’s deafening cheers and chants set the tone for an unforgettable night of music and connection. To make the night hotter, when they put their glasses on, it cues the performance of hit track ‘IGLOO’ followed by fiery ‘BAD NEWS’. Filipino KISSYs couldn’t contain their excitement, their smiles radiating with joy as the group’s dynamic energy took over the venue. The night continued with more groovy performances of ‘Winehouse’ and ‘Chemistry’.
Haneul brought more fun to the evening, surprising the audience with her witty imitation of Tagalog phrases from the translator. Fans burst into laughter at her playful antics, with even the other members joining in on the fun, showing the group’s bond and sense of humor.
KISS OF LIFE members continued to showcase their solo skills by performing their solo songs, starting with a highly anticipated vocal performance of Belle with ‘Countdown’, followed by a fierce and sexy performance of Julie with ‘Kitty Cat’, Haneul made sure everyone sees her upclose and performed a cheerful ‘Play Love Games’, ending their solo segment with Natty showcasing her all-rounder skills with ‘Sugarcoat’.
Natty shared that when they performed their solo songs in Seoul, South Korea they have back-up dancers but now it is just really them so they are very nervous as it’s also been a long time since they perform their solo stages.
As the night progressed, the energy never waned and they continue to perform with their hit songs such as ‘Nobody Knows’, ‘Te Quiero’ and ‘Gentleman’. The fans eagarly sing along with them and the energy did not went down even it’s been more than half an hour since the show started.
Haneul shared that it’s really better to see them perform live and complimented KISSYs who attended the shows with ‘KISSYs ang ganda niyo’ (KISSYs you are beautiful). Their fanservice are topnotch as the members made sure the Filipino Kissys have a chance to see them closer and wander around the theater while performing ‘No One But Us’.
The group continue to thrill the crowd with fan favorite tracks like ‘TTG’, ‘My 808’, ‘Nothing’, ‘Midas Touch’ and their summer anthem ‘Sticky’, causing the audience to sing along and create an unbreakable bond through music.
The emotional highlight of the night came during a surprise video event featuring heartfelt messages from fans. The surprise left all four members in tears – something they shared had never happened before with any fan project. It was a deeply touching moment, one that showcased the profound connection between KISS OF LIFE and their Filipino KISSYs.
KISS OF LIFE wrapped the night by performing ‘SHH’, ‘Says It’, ‘Bye My Neverland’and ‘Back To Me’, proving their love for their fans. Belle promised to return in the Philippines and hoped for a bigger venue next time, showing her appreciation for the immense support they received in the Philippines.
The evening concluded with a goodbye session for all ticketholders and group photo-op with KISS OF LIFE. Despite the surprise absence of the iconic “Kissy Chair” segment, Filipino KISSYs left the venue feeling more than satisfied with a night full of love, music, and unforgettable memories.
