Park Do Ha also offered his perspective on the growing influence of K-Pop across Asia and its interaction with other emerging music scenes, such as P-Pop (Philippine Pop). “I think the K-POP genre is taking over the cultural aspect beyond the music genre. “When it comes to K-POP singers, I think they have a significant influence on Asian culture in terms of concepts with a narrative or communication methods with a global reach,” he observed.

He was particularly impressed by P-Pop’s distinctiveness. “And it was very impressive to see that P-POP is similar to K-POP and it is developing with unique Filipino emotions.” He believes in the power of mutual respect and collaboration between the two genres: “If K-POP and P-POP respect each other’s emotions and interact with each other a lot, I think there will be a lot of cool artists in Asia.”

Park Do Ha even shared a video of him singing “Palagi” by TJ Monterde. We had a brief chance to shoot with him and he gave us an acapella of the song!
