It’s already been a week since THE BOYZ set the Mall of Asia Arena into a thrill ride with their ZENERATION II World Tour on August 25, and we’re still not over the post-concert depression!
Even before the concert began, Kevin had already delighted fans with a ‘limited edition fan meeting’ when he was spotted grabbing coffee at a nearby Tim Hortons.
A designated fanhub was created for fans to connect, mingle, trade, and share freebies. There was also a mini-program prepared to make the d-day extra special for every The B.
At 7PM, the MOA Arena was filled with screams as members Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, JuHaknyeon, Sunwoo, and Eric took the stage, starting off strong with their electrifying performances of “Diamond Life,” “Out of Control,” “MAVERICK,” “Back All Back,” and “Breaking Dawn.”
Who could move on when the concert had just begun, and Eric said, “Manila always feels like my hometown”? He and the rest of the members expressed just how much they missed the Philippines and Filipino The B’s.
Juyeon, our resident Siagao boy, even joked about how much he misses the island’s waters.
Kevin also celebrated the Philippines’ historic achievement, giving a special shout-out to Carlos Yulo for winning the country’s first Olympic gold medal.
Filo-The B’s were then treated to a lively and energetic set with “Complete Me,” “Fantasize,” “Right Here,” “Thrill Ride,” and “D.D.D.”
There was a dance-along segment where fans were shown on the big screens, excitedly jumping and showing off their moves, adding to the excitement and fun of the night.
After a short break, THE BOYZ returned with their handheld mics, captivating the audience with their beautiful vocals and harmonies with “Walkin’ In Time,” “Horizon,” “Survive the Night,” “Back 2 U,” and “Hurt Me Less.”
“As we were singing our ballad songs, I was able to look at you guys, I was really touched because you guys were full of love,” Juyeon said.
There was no break in the excitement as they continued with the highly anticipated set featuring their high-energy tracks, “Bite Back,” “REVEAL,” “The Stealer,” and “WATCH IT.”
Kevin then decided to make the stage even hotter by taking his shirt off during the “WATCH IT”, leaving not only the fans but even the members in complete awe.
During the encore, THE BOYZ performed “Nectar” and “Fire Eyes,” creating a heartwarming moment before finally bidding their last goodbyes.
For his final ment, Jacob serenaded the audience by singing a snippet of Zack Tabudlo’s ‘Binibini.’ His flawless Tagalog and gentle voice left the fans swooning.
Each member expressed how they were able to gain strength from Manila The B’s energy and promised to come back very soon for ZENERATION III, IV, and more.
“Thank you so much for being such loyal and passionate fans. It was such a great time tonight. I wanna be back as soon as possible,” Kevin shared.
Eric then again expressed his love for the Philippines, saying, “Manila, it feels like you’re our hometown, so it’s always great to be home.”
The members also announced an upcoming album, urging fans to look forward to more exciting releases from the group.
Before ending the show, THE BOYZ held hands and bowed, shouting their final goodbye to the fans filling the arena.
