From a sunny summer getaway to a sweet brand event, actor Byeon Woo Seok has made Manila a frequent stop in his journey. On October 10, 2026, the South Korean star returned to the Philippines to turn yet another chapter with his fans—this time taking center stage at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena for his highly anticipated “2026 Byeon Woo Seok Asia Fanmeeting Tour in Manila.” Organized by PULP Live World, the evening brought a lot of memorable moments for the fans and to the actor.

Our Pages with Byeon Woo Seok
To many, Byeon Woo Seok first became a household name through his iconic portrayal of the devoted Ryu Sun-jae in the breakout 2024 romance hit Lovely Runner. Yet long before he stole hearts as the idol-turned-actor on screen, long-time admirers were already swooning over his performances in the youth drama Record of Youth and the nostalgic coming-of-age film 20th Century Girl to his most recent drama Perfect Crown.
Beyond his striking height and classic model-actor looks, it is Woo Seok’s warm, approachable, and playful personality that truly endears him to fans worldwide. Filipino fans got an up-close look at this playful side as he took on the persona of a friendly librarian hosting a special gathering for his visitors. Expressing his appreciation right from the start, the actor warmly noted: “It’s actually my third time coming back to this country. But every time I’m here, I really want to say thank you so much for your warm welcome.”
For over two thrilling hours, the arena was filled with deafening cheers, shared laughter, and unified kilig moments from his “Tong-tongs.” Knowing his 35th birthday was fast approaching on October 31, the crowd even surprised him with an early birthday song, touching the actor deeply.

Reflecting on his multi-city Asian tour, Woo Seok shared how much joy he has found in step-by-step visits to different regions over the past three months, adding that traveling to meet his Tong-tongs made his summer genuinely special. He explained the symbolism behind the concept: his “Secret Library” serves as a personal mental archive filled with precious memories that he can revisit whenever life gets demanding. He hoped the evening would serve the exact same purpose for everyone present.
“Right now we’re very happy because we love one another. But as we become busier and go on with our busy lives, sometimes there could be a moment we could forget. A memory wherein I can go back to, remember, and cherish is something that really makes you happy. That’s the kind of person I wanted to be remembered as.” Byeon Woo Seok shared during his ment.

Fun stage activities
The fan meeting featured a variety of engaging segments that showcased Woo Seok’s charm and humor.
Woo Seok put his memory to the test during a filmography quiz, attempting to recall intricate details from his past roles such as identifying a specific bus number from a Lovely Runner scene. He also delighted the audience by dancing to the Tiktok trend Humming Urban Stereo’s lighthearted hit, Hawaiian Couple.
Adding a unique local touch, the event introduced a modified version of the traditional Filipino street game Tumbang Preso. Rather than throwing a slipper by hand to knock down a target can, Woo Seok had to launch the slipper off his foot to flip the can. His repeated, enthusiastic attempts made the arena burst out in laughters.
Byeon Woo Seok delighted the crowd by trying out local phrases like “Tayo na” (Let’s go), “Kaya ko ‘to” (I can do this), “Salamat po” (Thank you), and “Maganda” (Beautiful). He also delivered the popular meme phrase “Yohoo! Dito ang tingin!
One of the famous segments of this fanmeet is Byeon Woo Seok showing off his cooking skills in every stop of his fanmeet. The actor prepared gyeran-mari (Korean rolled omelette) live on stage. A few lucky fans were invited up to taste his cooking, playfully praising his dish with Pinoy expressions like “mesherep,” “eng sherep.”
Another fan favorite segment is the re-enactment challenge wherein raffle winners come up on stage and were treated to close-up interactions with the actor (re-enact a scene from his drama) and also won a signed Instax selfie as a souvenir.

Sudden Shower
Music provided some of the evening’s most emotional highlights. Woo Seok serenaded the venue with a soulful rendition of “Sudden Shower” from the Lovely Runner soundtrack, followed by a performance of “No Fate.” To get even closer to his audience, he stepped off the stage and walked through the floor section, making sure to connect directly with as many fans as possible.
During the encore, the atmosphere turned deeply emotional when the crowd sang “Sudden Shower” back to him in unison. Moved by the gesture, Byeon Woo Seok grew teary-eyed as he listened to the arena echoing his song.
“I really, really liked it. I feel like I gained so much energy back from you,” he admitted.

To wrap up the magical night, Woo Seok performed “Fate Line”—an original song from his latest television series, Perfect Crown. Before taking his final bow, he promised fans that their overwhelming support would serve as his fuel moving forward:
“I’m always very grateful and I’m thinking of ways to repay your love. But I think the best answer for me to really repay your love is to show you the best version of myself and come up with more good projects. For my next project, I will do my absolute best, with the help of your love.”
“Kita-kita tayo ulit! Mahal ko kayo!” Though The Secret Library event has officially drawn to a close, the shared memories between the actor and his “visitors” at the library will remain a good chapter in his book.
