Soloist SORN is back in Manila to promote her first solo EP ‘HEARTSTORM’.
SORN is part of the septet K-pop group CLC and is now focusing on building her career to new heights as a solo artist. After nine years as part of CLC and two years building her solo journey, SORN officially debuted in February 25, 2022, with her single “Sharp Objects.” Now, HEARTSTORM has arrived, a long-awaited collection of songs showcasing SORN’s growth as an artist—an evolution her fans say was well worth the wait.
HEARTSTORM: A New Chapter for SORN
This Southeast Asian promotional tour marks a significant milestone in SORN’s solo career, and she’s kicking it off in style. She launched her HEARTSTORM journey in her homeland of Thailand, where she performed her title track “NOBODY” on a popular TV show.
Now in Manila, SORN has engaged with her Filipino fans through radio appearances, live performances, and an intimate meet-and-greet with her dedicated followers. She is set to embark on another promotion in Malaysia in November.
HEARTSTORM EP
The ‘HEARTSTORM’ EP features 4 tracks – NOBODY (title track), Cool Waters (SORN’s favorite track from the EP), HEARTSTORM, and BAD4US (Solo Version). NOBODY is a dance-pop track that explores themes of self-love, loneliness and acceptance.
It emphasizes the importance of self-worth and resilience, even when there is nobody to lean on. The production combines emotive vocals with a catchy, pop-infused beat, making it an anthem for those navigating the complexities of loneliness and self-acceptance.
Mini Meet&Greet with Filipino Cheshires and Sornshines
Filipino Cheshires (CLC’s fandom name) and Sornshines (SORN’s fandom name) enjoyed a heartwarming meet-and-greet event after SORN’s radio guesting in Pasig City. Despite the challenging weather brought by Typhoon Kristine, SORN made safety a priority, encouraging fans to stay safe before coming. For those who come, it was a memorable experience—fans took photos with SORN and received a personalized, signed postcard as a memento.
One lucky fan even had the chance to show off his dance moves, grooving alongside SORN to CLC’s hit song “Helicopter.”. The mini meet-and-greet was a testament to SORN’s deep connection with her fans, who have supported her through her journey from CLC to a successful solo artist. SORN expressed her gratitude and hinted at a possible return to Manila, with the promise that if demand for HEARTSTORM continues, a physical release of the EP might be in the works.
SORN invites Oppa Is Life readers to listen and stream her latest EP on music platforms and join her as she embarks on this new chapter of her music career.
