Known across Asia for his powerful vocals and captivating stage presence, Nam Woo Hyun has established himself as one of Korea’s most versatile solo artists. His talent hasn’t gone unnoticed, as he took home the Best Solo Artist award at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards.
Over the past year, Nam Woo Hyun has expanded his global reach through his 식목일 concert series and the release of his 4th mini-album, Whitree. Now, with the launch of his 5th mini-album, Tree Ring, he is ready to usher fans into a new chapter, promising a blend of fresh tracks and the heartfelt performances he is beloved for.
The Versatile Artist Nam Woo Hyun
Nam Woo Hyun, known mononymously as Woohyun, has built a career defined by his versatility across music, acting, and songwriting. He first rose to prominence as a main vocalist of the K-pop boy group ‘Infinite,’ which debuted in 2010. His distinct vocal color and impressive high notes were instrumental in crafting the group’s signature sound.
Demonstrating his broad talent, Woohyun officially launched his successful solo career in 2016 with the release of his first extended play (EP), Write.., which immediately charted on both the Gaon Album Chart and the Billboard World Albums chart.
He has since consistently delivered popular solo albums, including Second Write.. (2018) and A New Journey (2019). Beyond his musical endeavors, Woohyun also ventured into acting, notably taking a lead role in the 2014 drama Hi! School: Love On, and was part of the successful sub-unit Toheart with SHINee’s Key.
