J-pop powerhouse Sakurazaka46 has dropped their highly anticipated second album, “Addiction,” hitting all major platforms on Wednesday, April 30th. The expansive 24-track collection showcases the group’s evolution, featuring their latest singles alongside exciting new material and a unique set of international collaborations.
“Addiction” encompasses a rich tapestry of Sakurazaka46’s recent musical journey, including the title track and coupling songs from their 2023 hit single “Sakurazuki,” leading up to their current single, “UDAGAWA GENERATION.” Adding a fresh dimension to the album is the brand-new track, “Addiction,” written exclusively for this release.

A standout feature of “Addiction” is the inclusion of six remixed songs by a stellar lineup of globally acclaimed DJs. Among them is the renowned French artist Naeleck, boasting over a billion streams and numerous gold and platinum certifications, who was ranked the 4th most internationally successful French artist in 2023.
Naeleck put his spin on “I want tomorrow to come,” stating enthusiastically, “It’s so great to be able to remix the band. I loved the original track and immediately got inspired to remix it into a club/festival banger.”

These remixes aim to unveil new facets of Sakurazaka46’s music and are the result of collaborations with world-renowned DJs eager to help the group gain further international recognition. The impressive roster includes Australian electronic artist Ninajirachi, known for her performances at major festivals like Lollapalooza and EDC, and her sold-out concerts both in Japan and abroad.

Also contributing is the enigmatic French DJ and producer Naeleck, recognized for his masked persona and dark electronic soundscapes. The album further benefits from the talents of Nurko, a prominent dance music DJ/producer from the U.S., South Korean EDM sensation Raiden, rising Swedish artist devin, and the highly popular creator TSAR from China.
The release of “Addiction” follows Sakurazaka46’s recent performance at the CENTRAL MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT FESTIVAL 2025 in Taipei on April 19th. Riding this momentum, the group is gearing up for an extensive five-city tour across Japan. This highly anticipated tour includes an impressive five-day residency at the iconic Tokyo Dome and multiple dates at the Kyocera Dome Osaka, signaling Sakurazaka46’s readiness to elevate their profile both within Japan and on the global stage.
Sakurazaka46 has carved a unique space in the Japanese idol landscape. Formed in 2015 as Keyakizaka46, the group rebranded in October 2020, becoming the second act in the esteemed “Sakamichi Series” following Nogizaka46.
