On the midnight of February 9th, SORN has released her latest single “cool” in all streaming platforms worldwide. It was a song she already performed in her first ever concert in Singapore last November 2023.

An hour before the official release of her single, she chatted with her fans via Countdown Live on YouTube and revealed some of her juiciest dating advices and tips. She revealed that she has no “ideal type” but she really likes good-looking, nice and good vibes people. She also revealed her first crush was Sky from the Winx Club.

What is “cool”?

“Cool” is a song best describes SORN’s feelings last year when she was in her lovey-dovey era. It is a pop song with Y2K “cutesy” vibes that is best for a love confession to your crush or lover. It also has a refreshing tempo and an easy to listen song as SORN’S vocal is as sweet as cherry and you can feel the romantic feelings she has in this song.

The song is produced and written by Fly By Midnight’s Justin Breit and Justin Slaven which SORN met when they were on tour in Singapore. SORN admits she is a long tine fan of Fly By Midnight. It was also co-written by LYRE’s Annalise Morelli, Gisselle Acevedo and E.L. who had already written few songs for CLC and SORN’s Sharp Objects. “cool” was choreographed by JAM REPUBLIC’s Latrice who is also signed under Wild Group.

The music video showcased an early 2000 funky yet girly vibes with old technologies such as cassette player and television. At the end of the video, SORN teases for what’s next with “Next Chapter – Crazy, Stupid, Lovers” which can also be seen on the teaser photos she revealed earlier this week and we are already excited on what SORN will bring in next time.

Overall, I believe this is SORN’s best release as of the moment as it showcased her coolest potential as an all rounder and the visual is just best. Can’t wait on what SORN has prepared for us on her next chapter as a solo artist. Will it be the much awaited EP? Let’s find out this year!
