TUDUM Korea Spotlight | A Global Fan Event with Netflix

With the sound, ‘TUDUM’ comes awesome content from Netflix right after. It’s the second year of Netflix’s 24-hour global virtual fan event called ‘TUDUM’ and that means it’s the second year to enjoy a piece of fun-filled exclusive news from our favorite shows in 24 hours! Yes, you got it right, it’s a whole day event for the fans!

‘TUDUM’ being the iconic sound of the brand plays as the introduction of every Netflix show and has been officially used by the streaming site in 2015. Being an iconic intro, it deserves to be the title of the global fan event which debuted last year (2021).

This year, TUDUM continued its 24-hour virtual event with numerous exclusives, trailers, never-before-seen clips from various movies, series, and dramas, and the first look at their upcoming line-ups. As I enjoyed TUDUM’s first fan event last year. I am super hyped with the next one this year.

For this virtual event, they also have a special for TUDUM Korea Spotlight where we got first dibs on the upcoming shows. For the most anticipated South Korean series, here are the titles that we know you are excited about:

Hellbound is having a season 2

With a released teaser clip, Hellbound is having a monstrous comeback for its second season. The webtoon-based series debuted in November of 2021 and it received huge anticipation from the fans. The film made a huge debut having the Yoo Ah In as the lead star.

Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area’s Part 2

A chase for money and power, the second part of Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area gave us an adrenaline rush with its heart-pounding teaser. The series is an adaptation of the hit Spanish series Money Heist and with a uniquely Korean background. The series is set in the modern times wherein the two Koreas are striving for reunification and the mask used in the show is the traditional Korean mask called ‘Hahoe.’

The survival show ‘Physical: 100’

Who could be the last one standing? Showered with so much fierce, angst and power, this upcoming Netflix survival series ‘Physical: 100’ will showcase the ripped bodies of 100 male and female participants as they challenge one another during numerous competitions and win the title of having the best body.

A new take on the fashion industry: The Fabulous

With an interview on the set of the drama, The Fabulous, a new upcoming series starring Chae Soo Bin and SHINee’s Choi Minho gave a glimpse of the glitz and glamorous world of elite fashion. The series will showcase the friendship of four best friends who are chasing their dream while juggling their life, love, and career balance.

A special memory lane of Single’s Inferno with Se Hoon and Ji Yeon

It’s a Moon Se Hoon and Shin Ji Yeon shipper thing to actually swoon over new content from the special clip of Netflix for Single’s Inferno season 2. This couple made it back to the deserted island to tease the audience for its upcoming season.

For the second season, the fans of this dating show will be enjoying longer screen time of their favorite ships having an extended 10 episodes! I can’t wait to know who the next participants are.

The unreleased clip of Squid Game

One of the most successful Korean dramas made by Netflix, Squid Game debuted with record-breaking wins among global award-giving bodies. To gift the fans for the success of the series and to excite us for the most-awaited season 2, a special unreleased clip was shared during the TUDUM Korea Spotlight. The clip showed the identity of the front man. 

TUDUM featured over 120 Netflix shows and more than 200 artists during its September 24-25 free virtual event. It is divided into various ‘spotlights’ so the fans can enjoy a personalized take on their favorites. For this year, we get to enjoy TUDUM Korea, TUDUM India, The TUDUM two part global fan event and TUDUM Japan.
