27th Asian Television Awards | Winners and Event Overview

The 27th Asian Television Awards made their offline comeback extravagant as they gathered numerous talented television personalities from Asia for the much-awaited awards night.

After two years of having the awarding ceremonies online due to the pandemic, the Asia Television Awards (ATA) streamed live at the Aliw Theater last December 1, 2022.

Despite the pouring rain, the fans of the artists who attended the show waited for the red carpet-entrance of the hosts, nominees, and performers. The artists, on the other hand, received the warm welcome of the fans and returned their love through their heartwarming speeches and powerful stage performances.

The 2022 ATA is divided into two parts, the ATA Live Show (December 1 – Aliw Theater) and Gala Night (December 8 -ATA Gala Dinner). Both of these events included awarding ceremonies. Here are some of the winners and highlights of the ATA Live Show.

Performances

Aside from the nominees for this year’s ATA, the awards night is also filled with A-list performers from all over Asia. Guests are welcomed by the spectacular performance from Ballet Manila. Everyone also enjoyed performances from Novia Bachmid, Wani Kyrie, Christian Bautista, VXON, G22, Ananya Birla, Gary Valenciano, Gab Valenciano, and Wren Evans.

Ready, Aim, Shoot! The rookie but powerful PPOP group G22 gave off sweet, sexy but angst performances on their songs “Babalik” and “Bang.” Wanie Kyrie from Malaysia owned the stage with her performances on her two recent releases Jangan Terlepas Pandang and Kamu Kamu.

The father and son tandem of Gab and Gary Valenciano showcased electrifying numbers on stage proving that they always deserve the title ‘Mr. Pure Energy.’ Indonesian Idol Novia Bachmid also prepared a soulful performance for tonight’s show. Wren Evans painted the stage red with their hot performance that also served as the finale of tonight’s performance.
