Eight-member K-pop sensation WHIB, hailing from CSJ Entertainment, recently touched down in Manila for their first-ever Asia Fan Meet-Up from July 4th to 7th. The event aimed to promote their latest hit single, “Kick It,” and strengthen their bond with Filipino AnDs (the group’s dedicated fanbase).
The whirlwind tour commenced with a mall show at Ayala Malls Feliz, where WHIB greeted their eager fans with a performance of their popular track “Dizzy.” The group charmed the audience with a Filipino greeting, “Magandang Gabi, 안녕하세요 WHIB 입니다,” setting a warm and welcoming tone for the night.
In a brief interview, WHIB shared their initial nervousness performing on the WISH Bus but expressed excitement for the days ahead, noting their confidence in their debut. The group gamely tackled Filipino tongue twisters like “Bituka ng Butiki” and “Nakakapagpabagabag,” showcasing their dedication to connecting with local fans.
As a special treat, WHIB learned the choreography to BINI’s hit songs “Pantropiko” and “Salamin Salamin.” Their performances improved with each show, culminating in an impressive display at their final promotion in Ayala Circuit Makati.
Prior to their own performance, WHIB taught fans the “Kick It” dance challenge, which was met with enthusiastic screams and fan chants. The group expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming love they received, hinting at a potential return to Manila in the future.
Every event included a short fan meet and greet, along with a photo op session. On the final day, WHIB surprised the crowd with a performance of “BANG,” their debut song, bringing the fan meet-up to a thrilling close. The WHIB 1st Asia Fanmeet, brought to fans by IME Philippines, marked a successful debut in the Philippine market for the rising K-pop group.
