Filipinos have long been known for their K-pop craze, but lately, another wave has swept through the country, the charm of Thai entertainment. From Boys’ Love (BL) to Girls’ Love (GL), romantic comedies, dramas, and cultural showcases, Thailand’s presence in the Philippines has grown from an occasional appearance to a full-blown phenomenon. And this 2025, that phenomenon takes center stage in Manila.

As the country continues to rank among the top global fans tweeting and streaming Thai shows, it comes as no surprise that some of Thailand’s brightest stars are making their way to the Philippines for fan meetings and concerts. Thai entertainment fans, this is your season! Here are eight upcoming Thai events you absolutely can’t miss:

Why Manila? Why Now?

It’s no mystery why this momentum keeps growing. The Philippines has never hidden its love for Thai entertainment, from sharing scenes on TikTok to dominating Twitter hashtags week after week. And while Korean content still holds sway in the mainstream, Thai series, actors, and musicians have nestled into the hearts of local fans who no longer distinguish between languages, only between the moments that made them feel most alive.

With strong fan bases that fill venues, trend hashtags, and stream content endlessly, the Philippines is an undeniable powerhouse in Thai entertainment’s global rise. Each fan meeting and festival planned this season is a celebration of that bond, a big thanks from Thai artists to their Filipino fans.

Be there, be loud, and be ready. The Thai wave is here, and it’s bigger than ever.
