A Manila comeback that’s worth the wait, Lee Sung Kyung ensured everyone that she prepares a different stage for all her fanmeets. For the second time in Manila, Lee Sung Kyung meets her fans for the Lee Sung Kyung “Be Closer in Manila” Fanmeeting last July 8 at the Skydome, SM North Edsa.

She welcomed the fans with the song “Hold My Hand” by IU. With a huge smile, she welcomes everyone to her fanmeeting. Then on, everyone traveled to Sung Kyung’s personal life with the “Let’s Go Sung Kyung’s trip” where the fans watched videos of her and she shared some behind-the-scene stories of the selected clips. Clips include a video of her exercising where she shyly shared her thoughts about it.
Sung Kyung’s Pick
Following the talk time is the “Sung Kyung awards” where fans guess what Lee Sung Kyung would pick among the choices shown on stage and Lee Sung Kyung would then on reveal her choice.
The questions include her picks on what Filipino food she wishes to try including ‘Sisig’ and ‘Mango Graham.’ She also needed to choose whom among a few selected Doctor Romantic cast she would like to work with again in the future and she truly had a hard time answering it.
Doctor Cha Eun Jae
While Lee Sung Kyung prepares for her stage, special appearance of her co-cast in Doctor Romantic appeared on-screen. So Joo Yeon, Kim Min Jae and Ahn Hyo Seop gave their warm greetings to their ‘Doctor Cha’ for her successful fanmeeting, they also made a quick acrostic poem using her name ‘Sung Kyung.’
She sang “My Love,” the OST of her drama Doctor Romantic 2. After her soulful performance, she had a quick costume change and re-enters the stage to play games with the fans. She prepared a cute tumbler in Korea that she brought to Manila to gift a lucky fan who will be the ‘last man standing’ after sets of Q&A.

Sung Kyung also set the floor on fire with her sexy performance of Destiny Rogers’ “Tomboy”, IVE’s After Like and Le Sserafim’s Unforgiven. She shyly leaves the stage to prepare for the next part of the show.
Interactions with Lee Sung Kyung
You don’t often see artists who plays with the fans but Lee Sung Kyung is delighted to do it all. Her “Kim Bok Joo” side showed her competitiveness as she plays a number of ‘obstacles’ on stage. As she failed to win the games, she needed to do a consequence including the famous Tiktok challenge “I’m sorry for being cute.”

As Lee Sung Kyung doesn’t want to end the show yet. She even accepted numerous requests coming from the audience. The fans are delighted to see the multi-talented artist perform an impromtu NewJeans’ “Hype Boy” and Blackpink’s “Kill This Love.”
As an encore performance, she staged the song “Reflection”, an OST from the Disney show “Mulan.” After the show, all the fans are entitled to a Hi-Touch event and a few more fan benefits for selected tiers.

The show was amazing. I enjoyed watching and love seeing my fave actress in person though the Hi- Touch was too quick for me to looked at her. Nevertheless I’m happy to see her in person and looking forward to watch her in more shows and tv series.
