K-Leidoscope is a two-day Hallyu-inspired event designed to provide fans with a sense of community, inclusivity, and a day filled with K-pop, art, passion, and various other enjoyable activities.
Upon arrival at the venue last November 26 at the newly opened Globe creator studio in BGC, the registration process was swift due to the pre-event app download, ensuring seamless transactions.
K-Movie Watch Party
Being the first to register for the K-movie watch party, attendees were required to leave their phones at the registration counter to prevent recording. The featured K-drama was “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract,” a captivating saeguk-modern drama available on VIU. Participants also received a one-month premium subscription courtesy of VIU.
K-Watercolor Workshop
Although we were not able to make it to the participant list, there was an opportunity to admire the artistic creations of those attending the K-watercolor workshop.
Random Giveaways
Engaging activities like “bring me,” showcasing K-pop photocard in wallets, and sharing downloaded TikTok K-pop videos of biases added an element of excitement. Random giveaways during the wait included VIU premium subscriptions and K-Pop albums.
Collectibles
Attendees could collect items on PDAX, and upon gathering three collectibles, they received a free plushie. Unfortunately, some fell short by just one collectible.
K-Pop Dance Beats
The highlight of the day was the lively K-Pop dance, where participants joyfully danced to the beats, some even donning their K-pop attire. The atmosphere was filled with K-Pop music, embodying the true spirit of Hallyu.
K-Leidoscope 2023 successfully captured the essence of Hallyu, offering a diverse range of activities, from immersive K-drama experiences and artistic workshops to random giveaways and a lively K-Pop dance.
The event was co-organized by Anything KPop Manila and Globe Kmmunity PH, bringing together K-fans for a day of celebration, entertainment, and community spirit.
