Solar Dazzles Manila with Vibrant ‘Colours’ Concert

K-pop star and Mamamoo member Solar recently concluded her “Colours” concert in the Philippines last June 16 at the Solaire Theatre, leaving fans mesmerized by a diverse and vibrant setlist that showcased her versatility as an artist.

The concert opened with the title track “Colors” from her second mini-album of the same name. Solar, the leader of K-pop group Mamamoo, expressed her excitement about returning to the Philippines, making Manila the first international stop on her tour due to the overwhelming support received from Filipino fans during Mamamoo’s previous visit.

The show featured a captivating mix of songs, including collaborations from her Honey series, calmer tracks like “Only longing grows” and “Love has gone,” and even renditions of western classics in a series of entertaining parody music videos. A highlight of the concert was the “Mata Hari” set, where Solar performed songs previously exclusive to South Korea, including “C’est la vie,” “The Girl I Used to Be,” and “One Last Time.”

The night continued with a surprise encore, featuring Solar emerging from the audience entrance to interact with fans before transforming the theater into a rave with “Paradise.” She also shared childhood memories of her time in the Philippines and delighted the audience with requested songs, including Sam Smith’s “Unholy,” K-drama OSTs, and a double performance of local girl group BINI’s “Pantropiko,” showcasing her impressive grasp of the Filipino language.

Solar concluded the unforgettable night with “I Will Give You All My Love” and a final rendition of “Colors.” While Mamamoo members have expressed their desire to return to the Philippines, both as solo artists and as a group, fans eagerly await future performances from the talented K-pop stars. This event is brought to us by Three Angles Productions.
