Following their eighth EP, “Fourever,” released in March 2024, and a subsequent hiatus, Day6 experienced a surge in popularity. Their back catalogue, particularly the lead single “Time of Our Life” from “The Book of Us: Gravity” (2019), saw a remarkable resurgence, even charting at number 10 on the Gaon Digital Chart for the first half of 2024.

“Band Aid” features eight tracks, offering a total runtime of 25 minutes and 24 seconds. Produced by their frequent collaborator Hong Ji-Sang, the EP showcases the band members’ collaborative songwriting talents, promising a deeply personal and emotionally resonant listening experience. The lead single, “Melt Down,” is expected to capture hearts with its captivating sound and poignant lyrics.

JYP Entertainment’s announcement of the EP on August 9th was met with excitement from fans worldwide. The band further fueled anticipation with the release of a three-minute concept film on August 19th, providing a glimpse into the visual and thematic world of “Band Aid.” A “track preview film” followed on August 21st, offering tantalizing instrumental snippets of each song, showcasing the band’s musical prowess and setting the stage for the EP’s release.

To further connect with fans, Day6 announced their “Forever Young World Tour” on August 11th. The tour will support both “Band Aid” and “Fourever,” spanning 15 dates across 11 stops in Asia. Kicking off with three shows at the Inspire Arena in Incheon, South Korea, the tour will culminate with a final show at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines, on February 22, 2025.

Stay tuned for updates on DAY6’s comeback and the release of their new album!
