Newly engaged Thai superstars Mark Prin Suparat and Kimberley Anne Woltemas visited Manila for the first time to meet their fans through the Reel-to-Real: Mark and Kim 1st Fan Meeting in Manila. The highly anticipated event took place at the SM North Edsa Skydome last March 12.
The love month might have ended a month ago but we can feel the warmth and passionate love and support of the fans for Mark and Kim who are colleagues-turned-sweethearts in real life. Before the fanmeeting, we also had the chance to join the press conference of Mark and Kim.
From Reel-to-Real Life Couple
They starred as a couple for the first time in the hit drama “Sarm Noom Nuer Tong” (Three Golden Men) in 2011. Following that, they also paired in the dramas “Panyachon Kon Krua” (The Kitchen Scholar) in 2012, “Ton Ruk Rim Rua” (Love Started At The Fence) in 2013, “Ab Ruk Online” (Secret Love Online) in 2015 and “Kom Faek” (Brave Man Standing) in 2018.
More than just a fanmeeting
The countdown is over when Mark Prin took over the stage and captivated the hearts of the crowd with his own rendition of Stamp’s song, “Mun Kong Pen Kwahm Ruk,” (It’s Probably Love), one of the popular OSTs of the hit drama Love By Chance.
“Just enjoy show.” Right after, Kim did a solo performance of “The Show” by Lenka. As it is a popular song in the Philippines too, the audience started to sing along with her. The couple brought up the excitement of the fans as they welcome everyone with a cute greeting of “Mabuhay!”
Up close and personal with Mark and Kim
To make the fan meeting more intimate, lucky fans had the chance to participate in several fun games while the audience enjoys a lot of fun trivia that the games brought. The couple is always up for the challenge as they guess for the items that are inside the mystery box.
One of the consequences of this game is that they are required to eat some ‘exotic’ Filipino food and one of the dishes they tried is the ‘Bopis,’ which both of them like as they said that it tastes like Thai Food and Mark thinks it is similar to ‘Sisig,’ a dish they also tried upon their arrival in Manila.
Probably one of the hardest challenge for fans is to stare at their idols just a few centimeters apart without smiling or laughing but lucky fans beat Mark and Kim through this game and even grant them a chance to take selfies on stage with the couple! What a memorable night inchallengesdeed for these two lucky ladies!
TMI.
With the final game “Who’s Most Likely To?,” the couple were given a few scenarios and they had to pick who’s most likely to act in a certain way between them. It was revealed that Kim is a good cook but she hates to wash the dishes and this is where Mark comes to the rescue. They also shared that they plan their trips and vacations together and TMI came through the night.
It’s a Thai Fanmeeting but make it ‘Pinoy’
The couple graced the stage with their own version of “Pag-ibig na Kaya,” a song by Rachelle Ann Go and Christian Bautista. Filo fans were happy to see them on stage wearing the Philippines’ national costume to show love and respect to the audience.
Mark and Kim had a mini re-enactment of the wedding proposal and shared that they will have their wedding this year, which filled the crowd with joy and made them scream. The hour-long event ended with the sweethearts singing the song called “Lucky” by Jason Mraz ft. Colbie Caillat.
